To all 4E5'09 ppl out there, let's have a 4E5'09 BBQ cum gathering!

Details are as follows:

Venue: Pasir Ris Park (Pit is not booked yet)
*Date: 2010 Nov 19/20/26/27
Amount to pay: Not finalized yet(we'll keep it as low as possible)
Time: To be advised

*Date - We have picked four days(2 fri, 2 sat) to be the possible days for our BBQ. Its understood that the JC students are having their holidays but not the poly students that's why four dates are set for you guys to pick out the dates you aren't free so we can pick the one with everyone free. In the unlikely event that all four dates are not pleasant, we will choose another day.

So please tag to say if you are 1. able/unable to attend, 2. unable to attend on which date/available on all four days. Please do spread this around and tag to let us know if you could attend or if there is a need to amend the dates cos its approaching soon and we have to rush this.

*****If you happen to not be interested in this at all, just tell us you don't want to go. If you say you can't instead of you don't want to when you don't want to go, you will end up causing alot of unnecessary troubles***** :D

As for the activities, we have not came out with anything yet. So please do make suggestions if you guys would like to have any games or activities during the gathering. We'll plan from there on.

Since this event is just planned out, there might be some errors with the decisions made. If you find one, please tag to let us know.

Hey guys! As we all know, in a few days' time, we will be sitting for our first paper of the O'levels.

We have officially graduated from East Spring Secondary school now but i hope every single one of us will remember these 2 years. These 2 years of fun, these 2 years of joy, these 2 years of hard work, these 2 years of 3e5/4e5.

From here on, we will be leaving this phase of our lives and starting on a new chapter, moving on with our own separate ways... But i hope the class spirit - the spirit as a 4e5-ian still remains in everyone.

Please help in making this blog as lively as it was before cos this is one of the only things that we have as a class. Any information/outings organized for the class will also be posted here. So as and when you're free, do drop by this blog and maybe tag or something.

As for the class chalet, we might be organizing some games or something, and this might be our last time before long that we will be playing or participating in certain activities as a class, so i hope all of you will enjoy this end of year class outing.

Before we think about that, the big O's are right in front of our faces. It is now up to us whether or not we want to get grades that we are satisfied with. Its up to ourselves of what our expressions will be in January 2010. Its up to us to decide whether we will or will not regret when we get back our results.

We must prove to the school that we can do it. We must prove to the teachers that we can do it. We must prove to ourselves that we can do it. I hope to see happy faces, tears of joy and not tears of grief on all of our faces on January 2010.

We will never forget 4e5'09.
This isn't the end.

4E5, 2years of friendship!

I believe we had learnt a lot of things in these two years.
After all the thick and thin we've been through, the day
we had long awaited for is finally here.

GRADUATION DAY!

Well, I've been waiting for it since i stepped into ESSS!
We used to complain about many things in EasSpring, whine
about the numerous events we did not get to attend and how much
we hope to graduate soon , but i know that most of us dont want
to leave the school now. Because of all the great memories and wonderful
friendships we made. The footprings, i mean footprints we left behind.

Let's look back at the things we've done for the past 2 years.

The very first award that our class won, CNY Float making.
[Although it look like some weird coffin thingy,
but we spent countless hours doing it!! ]

LTA trip,

Service Learning to METTA,

Newspaper collections,

Service learning to the Old Folks Home

And how can we forget? The time we studied together!

Actually there are more, like our SFL, motivational workshop
and other things. But i cnt find the pictures of them. Will post
it up once i find it from my thumbdrive! :D

I hope that all of you will do will in your Os and get into
your preferred JC or Poly. Hope to have an outing every year
and hopefully, most of you will turn up for it!

Guess wad, tmr we are graduating from East Spring Sec where we had studied for 4 years. Soon, we are seating for our Olvl and after that to our repective new place ( JC or Poly ). We have to make a video for each of our teachers for the teachers' day.

- Each class is given 3 minutes to pour out their love and gratitude to their teachers in a VCD. They must use movie maker and burn their movie and all the music files and photographs in a CD. The music should be soothing to the ears. Hard rock and heavy metal music are strictly prohibited.

- Please ensure that there are NO GRAMMAR mistakes in your messages and there should not be any derogatory remarks made about the teachers, school leaders or the school. Please use ENGLISH SUBTITLES in your videos. Videos that contain vulgarities and profanities will be discarded. Any class that violates any of these conditions will not be give the air time to play their video during graduation day.

First - O'level Mother Tongue results

For those who have got a result that you would very much appreciate, and do not think that you would like to retake your Mother Tongue at the end of the year, congrats. For those who feels that you are not satisfied with it, please make sure you take an extra step forward in order to get a better grade cause you certainly would not want to let the 6 periods every week to be of no use. I'm sure all of us would wish for you to get better results. Good luck!

Second - Preliminary Examinations
The examinations are round the corner and this one is important to help us know where we stand. During this period of time, please make sure you do not fall sick cause it would be one hell of a week.

Class Chalet.

I shall start this post with....
a picture of a hat.
A very very special hat that can be seen in our most recent class photo.
The hat that our form teacher wore in the fun shot.

Okay, as most of you should know, or should i say
all of us know that we are having a class chalet at the
end of the year. But there are a few things that we did not confirm yet.
For examples, the place, date, time, cost...

We are choosing between Aranda or CostaSand[pasir ris].
Please tell me your preferred choice.
But most probably we will have it at Aranda due to the
number of people staying over.

The cost of the chalet will be around $17 or $18 i think.
But rest assured that remaining money will be given back.

Our chalet will be one week before our O level exams :D

Well, for most of us, after going through that 3 days workshop, we should have actually understood how each of us should actually study by now. So... Here it comes - O'Levels.

Ok. My main point for this post.
Yes. I know we are a class - 4E5. We may appear to others that we are damn united. But im pretty sure all of you know that we are actually shattered. All of us know that we sometimes, or most of the times... i wont say dislike, but do not agree as to how some teachers(i would not say who) handle or do or teach certain things. Well... what i wanna say is pretty much what all teachers would have already said - The slip of paper that we are gonna get next year January, would be ours, not theirs. By just some of these actions that these teachers did, which might actually be beneficial to us and we do not follow instructions, stop listening in their classes and all those stuffs... and when we get our results, u know wad we always do, we blame the teachers and not ourselves, for choosing not to focus during lesson. We might think this is crap but hey, O'lvls are right in front of us. Open up your eyes!

I know that deep down, you know that this isnt what you should do...you know that we should focus in class, study hard, pay attention, complete homework, etc. But why not?

Lastly, i would really really appreciate if we could work as a class, at least during schooltime. That we could be really...help each other out. And please, if I happen to be giving out instructions, please co-operate. If you do not agree with what I do, just tell me. If you have any suggestions, just voice it out. I really hate it when we have to do something together and we actually break up into small groups and start to chat. Yes.

I seriously hope to see a change in 4E5 during this last semester in ESSS. This should be a class that we would want to remember throughout our lives. And I know i might offend some, if not all of you but i hope u can see my point in this post which is the longest I have ever done in my life for blogging...

And for those non-4E5, this is not for u. So dont be some idiots and tag some nonsense to criticise us.

So... On January 2010, may my entire class hang a big smile on their faces!

“Bill please!” exclaimed David as he raised his hand up into the air. After footing the bill, he wobbled up from his seat and maneuvered toward the door. Thinking that it operates automatically, he stood rooted to the ground whilst tapping his foot impatiently in front of the door. His disheveled hair rustled against the wind as his friend, Dave, pushed him out of the pub. Feeling tipsy, he walked towards his car unsteadily and offered his friend a ride home. Then, a flash of lightning struck across the overcast sky.

“Why don’t we take a taxi home? “ suggested his friend, Jonathan, as he pointed towards the taxi stand. David feeling tipsy, in coherently mumbled “I have a new car…I can give you a lift…” Jonathan stared at him and noticed his bloodshot eyes and wobbly legs. David then started to swing his arm aggressively.
“It is dangerous to drive when you are so drunk!” Jonathan replied in concern of David’s safety while shaking his head in disapproval. “I’m not drunk…I can still drive…” David insisted confidently as he continued his way unsteadily to his new car. Jonathan knew things would not be good.

David was bobbing his head to the base of the music blasting from his radio. While pretending to professional dj, he used one hand to cup his ear, and used the other hand to rub the steering wheel as if it was a disc. The car began to slither like a snake, due to his actions. Unknowingly speeding up, the world seemed a blur to him as he took a wrong turn. He hallucinated that there was a giant firefly. His friend slapped him and took over the steering wheel. The slap snapped David to his senses. Screaming like a little girl, David covered his eyes and stepped on the brakes immediately. The car took a 360 degree spin, tripped over the road divider and ascended into the air like an Olympic gymnast. In mid air, they threw their arms around one another. David mumbled a prayer while his friend screamed profanities at the top of his lungs. The few seconds in air felt like a light-year.

David grappled with the lock of the car and fell out onto the cold, hard and uneven road. He gasped, as he caught sight of his car, now a smoldering piece of metal. The windows were shattered and the bonnet was badly dented. The acrid smell of burning rubber lingered in the air. David stared blankly, his mind reeling from shock.
“What have I done?!” he cried to himself.
“Da..vid” a strangled whisper floated through the air. “Help..”
David ran back to his wreak of a car. His friend was trapped in his seat, had numerous cut and bruises on his face and his shirt was soaked in blood. David was now plagued with panic as he tried to free his friend from his seat.
“What should I do?!” He asked himself desperately.

“Frankie, I am so sorry. I should have listened to you. It’s all my fault.”
Applying pressure onto Frankie’s thigh, which had a long, deep bloody gash, David sobbed.
“AHHHH!” Frankie screamed in agony.
David’s arms were covered in blood. He was breathing heavily. “Why wouldn’t the bleeding stop ? What have I done?”
“It’s going to be alright Frankie, just hang in there! I am so sorry…” David mumbled in guilt.
After a while, David realized that Frankie’s grip on his sleeve slackened. David turned his head towards Frankie.
Frankie mumble under his breath,” I don’t blame you.”
Tears rolled down David’s cheeks as he mumbled his last apologies…
